Planetary Gearbox: Inline and Right-Angle Series
Our precision planetary gearbox range includes inline and right-angle models for servo-driven machines. When selecting a servo planetary gearbox, check the motor interface, required ratio, output torque, duty cycle and installation space. These planetary gearboxes support automation equipment, CNC auxiliary axes and packaging machinery when the selected model matches the application.

Planetary Gearbox Types
Choose the right gearbox type according to installation space, motor direction, torque requirement, backlash level, and machine structure.

Inline Planetary Gearbox
Inline planetary gearboxes use a coaxial input-output layout, making them suitable for compact servo transmission systems where the motor and driven shaft are aligned on the same axis.

Right Angle Planetary Gearbox
Right angle planetary gearboxes turn the transmission direction by 90 degrees, helping save axial space and making machine layouts more flexible.

View Packaging ApplicationsInline vs Right Angle Gearbox
Inline planetary gearboxes are suitable when the motor and output shaft can be arranged on the same axis. Right angle planetary gearboxes are better when the machine requires a 90-degree transmission direction or when axial installation space is limited. Choosing between them depends on machine layout, available space, motor direction, torque requirement, and mounting structure.
How to Select a Planetary Gearbox
Before selecting a planetary gearbox, confirm required torque, reduction ratio, backlash requirement, motor frame size, input speed, output load, duty cycle, radial load, axial load, and installation direction. For servo automation systems, the gearbox should also match the motor shaft, flange size, and positioning accuracy requirements.
Precision Planetary Gearbox Selection for Servo Motors
How to Specify a Servo Planetary Gearbox
A servo planetary gearbox should be selected around the move profile and the motor drawing. Provide the motor model, flange dimensions, shaft diameter and clamping length, together with the required output speed. Compare the mounting pattern and output connection on the selected gearbox drawing before treating two models as interchangeable.
Check Torque, Loads and Positioning Requirements
For a precision planetary gearbox application, separate continuous operating torque from peak acceleration torque. Describe the cycle time, dwell time, daily duty and any radial or axial load from the driven mechanism. Also state the required backlash or positioning performance at the machine axis. A nominal ratio alone does not confirm the complete drive performance.
Prepare a Drawing-Based Gearbox Quotation
Send the installation envelope, motor drawing, quantities and application details with your inquiry. Specify whether you need the mechanical gearbox only or additional agreed components. For detailed motor integration, see the gearbox for servo motor selection guide; compare the actual inline planetary gearbox and right-angle series layouts.
